Hidden prepositions

I've often told my five-year-old daughter that she used to hiccup a lot while she was in my tummy. I don't remember how we got on the subject again tonight, but my three-year-old reminded us, "And she kept hicc-ing up!"

I find it fascinating when my kids use language in a way that provides a window into their young minds.
