Me: “Good morning!” *starts scanning groceries*
Customer: “Ni hao!”
Me: “Oh, I’m not Chinese.”
Customer: “Konnichiwa!”
Me: “I’m not–”
Customer: “Shalom!”
Me: “Sir, that’s not even–”
Customer: “Namaste!”
*silence*
Customer: “I know so many languages! So many!”
